Living Room Tours Across America
Updated: Oct 10, 2020
I have almost officially completed my second week of classes at YWAM Kona! These last 14 days have been full of community, laughter, growth, and learning how to sit in the presence of God in a new way. Coming into YWAM, a huge prayer request of mine was for my roommates. I can thankfully say those prayers were heard, my roommates have been absolutely amazing. Starting our lecture phase with such a strong community that encourages vulnerability has been a blessing.
Though we have spent this time in quarantine, we have still been able to participate in class via zoom, have corporate worship from open windows, and strengthen our prayer life. God is still moving, even amidst crazy restrictions.
Our first week of class was over the topic of “The Father Heart of God”. It was honestly a very emotional week as I attempted to break down walls to allow myself to be more vulnerable with God and the community He has surrounded me with. A big prayer request for this season would be that I learn to be more vulnerable in my time with God and with myself to create space to receive His healing hand.
During this week our leadership was able to communicate to us their vision for our outreach. We will be partnering with Carry the Love and will be sent out in groups to do living room tours across the United States. The goal is to be able to spend a few days in each location hosting a worship and revival night as well as spending time investing into the community. Currently we have a goal of having 170 host locations to send students to. Even with the continued presence of COVID-19 we as a school are believing that God will make a way for us to continue to spread the gospel.
This month I will begin fundraising for my outreach phase! I will be gathering another collection of paintings to sell and will have time for 2 commission pieces! There are still a couple paintings left from my last collection for sale on my instagram. I will need a total of $4,000 to be able to go on this mission trip. The first payment deadline is October 22nd and I will need to be half way funded. The rest is due on November 19th. I am truly believing that God is teaching me to trust and depend on His church for financial support.
Thank you so much for all the support you have shown me this far. I feel so loved by God through the support my family, Fresh Fire Ministries, and my dear friends have shown me in the last month.
