Grateful for this Time
Updated: Nov 22, 2020
I am half-way done with the lecture phase of my training, boy is time flying here. Our weeks are filled with lectures, worship, work duty, and learning how to apply what we are taught in the classroom to our lives. I am still so blown away that God has allowed me to have this time to dive so deeply into my relationship with Him.
During the mornings we have been learning what a Christ-centered, Kingdom focused culture looks like. Defining what it means to celebrate and lead others the way Jesus did. Learning more about the characteristics of Jesus so that we can better mirror Him. These mornings are also spent obtaining the tools needed for our outreach. We have spent a significant amount of time learning what the full gospel of Jesus Christ is and how to communicate it to others. Understanding who Jesus is and how to explain what He did for us on the cross are essential tools for us to be able to do successful evangelism in America. I am thankful to have this time to learn surrounded by passionate leaders and eager students.
While our weeks have been full of learning and processing new revelations of who God is, our weekends have been a different kind of adventurous. We have graciously been able to explore more of God’s creation here on the island, and it has been a blast.
I am greatly enjoying all the beauty of the island.
I have received my outreach locations! I will be spending time in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. I would greatly appreciate it if you partnered with me in praying for the hearts of the people we are going to interact with to be softened to the gospel. As well as, that a revival of people fully following Jesus would sweep across these states.
For God’s protection over my outreach team. That we would all be able to raise the funds needed to go on outreach. As well as, be able to deeply connect and function as an effective team.
A huge praise is my continued friendship with my roommates. Being able to process conviction and ask questions in this community has been a major blessing.
In the time that I have been here, my desire to understand and read scripture has raised immensely. This is absolutely by the grace of God. I am thankful for a refreshed hunger for His Word paired with the precious time throughout my day to dive into scripture.
